  • it's now almost 5am in the morning.

just came back from clubbing @ clarke quay not long ago. had a shower and is waiting for my hair to dry now.

today we celebrated janet's and daisy's birthdays which both fall in the month of nov, in next week. had steamboat at bugis followed by coffee and they have their mini bday cakes at TCC.

after which the bday girls had to head home. so the rest of us proceeded to clarke quay and had drinks at Forbidden City, before we hopped to Arena for more drinks and clubbing.

despite Arena opened for so long, i only visit its neighbour - The Pump Room, so this is my first time in there. not bad i guess. music, live band. but the crowd wise, i shall reserve my comments.

still, it was good time tonight!

  • kor..

last night i dreamt of kor.

i dreamt that we had a dinner gathering. just like how we used to have one. preparing for all the food. having steamboat around the rectangular brown table.

and kor came back. he was outside the door. while everyone was busy, i offered to get the keys and open the door for kor. i was kinda shocked to see kor, but pleasantly surprised. somehow, the rest of the family didn't seem at all surprised. just like normal.

as we sat around to eat steamboat, i asked kor.

"kor, how are you getting on?"

he smiled and said, "i am getting on well."

i don't know if it was because i thought too much during the day, or kor really came to visit me in my dream.

last sunday, i had just visited papa mama, and was told that they went to pay respect to kor at the crematorium on saturday. was wondering how come they suddenly went to visit kor. it was because november 9th was his death anniversary.

without realizing, it's been more than 5 years since kor passed on.

i told papa that i would want to visit kor too, cos i had dreamt of him several times. there was once it was so terrible that i was sobbing and crying in the dream, only to find out that my face and pillow were all wet too. couldn't stop sobbing when i woke up.

was that why kor came to assure me he's well?

  • on the last friday in october

we had a very sumptuous dinner at sushi tei to celebrate GF's belated birthday. we ordered so much so much food, but the food was really great.

    Nana Bday 2009

after dinner i joined Jo and her friends for clubbing at the nearby butterfactory. it was her friend's birthday with endless flow of alcohol.

and that night, i also dropped a fifty dollar note. *ouch*

  • sotong

    it was a spontaneous idea.

since we have nothing planned for Saturday, we decided to take the ferry to batam. for what? no agenda. :)

and sotong me, reminded others to bring passport and i myself forgot about it. we were half way to harbourfront when we mentioned passport and i confidently replied of course. who knows i am the blur one who had forgotten to bring that most important item out.

we then took the cab back to my house to collect the passport and then go down to harbourfront. could even grabbed a nice simple breakfast before boarding the taxi.

the ferry ride turned out to be an hour. and it zombified us, making us sleepy and drowsy.

yearning for an ice cold coffee.

but had forgotten about it when we saw A&W. headed for the curly fries, root beer float and waffle with ice cream. yumz! it brought back some memories of my childhood.

not many shops in batam centre. we were most egg-cited when we shopped the hypermarket. aromatic shower gel, face masks, indo instant mee, chocolates and tibits, dried 'fishballs', chilli tapioca chips, nuts, etc...

too stoned. had to have some coffee. but it was disappointingly watery. luckily the sugar rush kinda helped to perk us up. i so missed bangkok's ice coffee. thick and fantabulous.

we took a nap during the evening ferry ride back to singapore. really felt better.

had so many meals in a day.

walked around at harbourfront and vivocity before we headed home together.

    the crowd was madness.

but certainly enjoyed the spontaneity and company! :))
